[5 - 6 November 2016] Out Door Picnic Tea Party in the Tea Plantation in Kyoto

Would you like to taste different types of Japanese mountain tea and Wagashi (hand made sweets) in the green tea plantation in Kyoto?

Wazuka is a home town of green tea production.

In 5th to 6th November, there will be an annual tea festival in Wazuka town, 1 hour distance from Kyoto city. 

On this festival, we will organize outdoor picnic party with special sweets used Uji green tea and we offer mountain tea which is usually cultivated in the deep rural mountains, and not sold at the regular market. 

| Dates: 5th November - 6th November 10:00am - 12:00pm

| Program : 10:00 - 10:30 walking through the path of tea plantation
                   10:30 - 11:30 tea party
                   11:30 - 12:00 walking and visit to a tea farmer

| Fee   : 1200 yen including tea and sweets, walking guide

5th November  mountain tea of Japan and Taiwan
6th November  buck wheat tea produced in Kasagi village in Kyoto

Sweets are all produced by Suzumeya, a Japanese sweet shop in Kyoto, using Uji green tea.

Waduka tea festival itself is also interesting with a lot of tea producers from all over the world.
Visitors can also enjoy the festival as well.
